I live in the Los angeles area with my husband Andrew, my son Parker and our mini Australian Shepard, Pippa.
I started my professional career as a background artist in animation painting on a wide range of various television cartoons. I then moved on to feature films and painted on several productions. After a number of years working as an animation artist, I decided to take time away from my career to raise my small child. Fast forward a few years and having raised my lovely son, I am now painting fine art pet portraiture working with a gouache medium on small commissioned portraits. Having chosen the small size portraits has made it possible to move the portrait around and place it at my desk, on a table, or on a book case.
I find that painting animals is extremely fulfilling and its inspiring to look at their beauty. Our pets are a huge wonderful part of our lives and our families. They are all so truly unique in their own little ways and I find joy in capturing their individual personalities. They add love and charm to our lives.
