FAQ’s

1. Is this a digital painting or retouched photo?
No. This is a one of a kind painting ( in gouache on paper),
which is in the watercolor family.
Most of what is on the internet are photos that have been digitally
retouched in photoshop or some other painting program which
is printed out as a giclee ( Zhee-clay), on a surface such as paper or
canvas and not an original painting.

2. Is this a commissioned painting?
Yes. You are paying for a painting upfront, and will receive your painting
within a certain amount of time after being placed in the cue. If it is a gift, it will
be sent to the person after it is completed?

3. What do I receive after purchasing the commissioned painting?
The actual painting in 4×6 or 5×7. Your choice of frame and easel set, decorative paper for the back, and choice
of embossed paper. It will then be shipped to you free. The commissioned painting will not be sold as a print.

4. I am not interested in commissioning you for a portrait, I am interested in one of the prints.

and choice of embossed paper. It will then be shipped to you free.

6. How do I take the photos?
Send me 6 or more photos of your pet, if possible taken at the pet’s eye level.
Take the photos outside in the sunlight if possible or indoors near the light. Please do not
take the photo from your view looking down. These shots accentuate the nose
and the face gets distorted. Please take side, 3/4, and a front view.

7. What is a tabletop painting?
A painting that can be set on any desk, table or shelf.
It is more mobile then a painting which is displayed on a wall.

8. What’s the difference between the acrylic and brass?
With the acrylic, the painting and decorative paper is placed between two sheets of
a magnetic acrylic frame and placed on the chrome easel. With the brass, the painting is placed
between the decorative paper and two sheets of glass enclosed within a brass frame that is soldered closed.

9. What happens if my acrylic frame accidentally opens?
Try not to touch the painted area because the painting needs to be in a frame for protection. Carefully place the painting and decorative paper between the magnetic acrylic sheets. Handle the painting by the edges. Opening and touching the painting could possibly smudge or make it run, especially if moisture touches it. The brass frame is   permanently closed and will not open.

10. Can I have a rush placed on my order?
Sorry, No. It is first come first served basis.

11. How long does it take to receive my painting?
